Encaustic Art Supplies
We stock both white (Natural filtered) beeswax and yellow (natural) beeswax. Our beeswax is processed (filtered) naturally in Europe with no chemicals used. Encaustic artists and candlemakers love our natural beeswax. MP-146, Pure Off-White Beeswax pastilles Beeswax is secreted by the bees (Apis Mellifica) and used to construct the hive. The bleaching method to obtain Our White Beeswax is not chemical, but it is a PHYSICAL METHOD. The Yellow Beeswax is warmed up to 100 °C and melted. Decoloration earth and coal (carbon) are added then it is filtered through a < 5 micron filter for a few times to obtain the total elimination of the coal particles. Beeswax is used in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, candle, encaustic art and other applications. We have added Microcrystaline wax and carnauba wax flakes to our supplies and hope to be adding pigments shortly. We can ship up to 10 Lbs.
