OUR BLENDS

The flashpoint for the CB30 is over 400 degrees F. so at 213 they may get smoking, but not fire. However, these types of heaters have always been a worry due to poor temperature control. There have been cases of fires resulting from the use of melters. People are not always careful to use only a tea light, if they put a can of Sterno in the melter for example, all bets are off. Since the other waxes being used (paraffin for example) have about the same flashpoint, I don't see any advantage to one versus the other.


Calwax CW-30CB Paraffin/Soy blend

119 MP  For Glass/Ceramic Container Candles. This wax also makes wonderful Potpouri Tarts.  Only for use in Container Candles, will not release from molds.  This wax will not develop a sink hole (cavity around wick).  No additives are needed with this candle wax, Premium Quality in use by several high end candle manufacturers. This wax will hold up to 15% Fragrance load!!!Scent throw amazing! Works well at 155 - 165 pouring temp.

Accu-Blend Accu Par 30 Paraffin/Soy blend

124 MP  For Glass/Ceramic Container Candles. A smooth blend of paraffin and other quality ingredients. It has excellent color retention and hot and cold scent throw. No additives required. Blended to eliminate mottling of colored candles and has excellent glass adhesion. Pours with a smooth surface & is a one pour blend. Can hold up to 10% fragrance levels.

CALSOY FA-CB2 soy/paraffin blend

116 MP  For Glass/Ceramic Container Candles.   Only for use in Container Candles, will not release from molds.  Soy based full adhesion container candle blend This special blend has a smooth creamy surface that gives maximum adhesion to container walls. For most sizes only one pour is required. Candles made from this product have excellent scent throw and burn very cleanly when properly wicked.

Accu-Blend CW-140 Pillar Candle Wax

139 MP  For Molded Candles our "General Purpose". It will mottle with no additives, add some Calbond 165 or Vybar 103 and you get the smooth look, and increased fragrance holding. Stearic Acid is optional, some people like it, some do not. It will opacify the 140, but there is always some risk of color and fragrance interactions. We recommend between 0.1% - 0.5% UV absorber for premium candles. ALSO AVAILABLE IN PASTILLES FOR AN ADDITIONAL .10 PER POUND.

165 / 175MP MULTIWAX W-835 is a white, highly refined, high molecular weight microcrystalline petroleum wax. It consists of saturated branched and cyclic non-polar hydrocarbons. It is hydrophobic, tasteless, odorless and has excellent UV & color stability. It is high melting point, hard, flexible and has excellent cohesive and adhesive properties. CW-170 Victory Brown Replacement sculpting wax(New Batch Dark Brown)

170 MP Brown Microcrystaline Wax. This wax is less crystalline then paraffin wax, although it is a microcrystalline petroleum-based wax. CW-170 Brown remains flexible at low temperatures and may be used as an adhesive, in investment castings, and blended in for candle-making. Easily molded by hand, it may also be used as a sculpture wax.
